Laura Walden lived and worked in Dunedin on New Zealand’s South Island whilst completing her legal traineeship. She subsequently travelled throughout the country. Her love for New Zealand has become her calling. Her first New Zealand family saga was The Curse of the Māori Woman, published in 2008 by Lübbe, followed by In the Valley of the Great Geysers and The Secret of the Last Moa.
