Andreas Englisch
Andreas Englisch is the most renowned German Vatican correspondent. He was born in Werl in Westphalia. After completing his degree in journalism, German and linguistics at the University of Hamburg, he first started working as an editor for the Bergedorfer Zeitung and the Hamburger Abendblatt. In 1987 he moved to Rome where he continues to be amazed by his host country and the wondrous world behind the Vatican walls. Along with his work as Italian and Vatican correspondent, he writes novels and works of non-fiction that regularly land on the Spiegel bestseller list. Andreas Englisch lives with his wife and son in Rome.
